Terms of use

These are the terms for playing RinkMind. They are short, and they are meant to be read. If anything here is unclear, write to hello@rinkmind.com and we will explain it.

Who “we” is

RinkMind is published by Allkanjari Inc., in Sudbury, Massachusetts, United States. “We” and “us” in these terms and in the privacy policy mean Allkanjari Inc., andAllkanjari Inc. is the seller named on the App Store and on Google Play.

Playing the game

You may install and play RinkMind on devices you own or control, for yourself. The game — its boards, artwork, sounds and code — stays ours. Please don’t sell it, rent it out, pass it off as your own, or pull it apart and publish the pieces.

What you can buy

• Remove ads is a one-time purchase. It stops the ads between boards; the videos you choose to watch for hints stay, because those are yours to start.
• Hint packs are hints, and nothing else. They have no cash value, can’t be exchanged or transferred, and are spent only in the game.
• Apple and Google take the payment, show you the price in your currency before you confirm, and handle refunds. We never see your card, and we cannot refund a store purchase ourselves — ask the store that sold it.
• A purchase belongs to the store account that made it. Settings → Restore purchases brings Remove ads back on a new phone.

Your progress

Progress, stars, streak and hints are saved on your phone and in your own phone backup. There is no cloud save in this version, so they are as safe as the phone and its backup and no safer. Deleting the game deletes them.

Ads

The free game shows an ad between boards sometimes, and offers you a video when you are out of hints. Nothing in the game is locked behind watching one, and no puzzle, hint or feature depends on what you answer when your phone asks about tracking.

The daily puzzle

There is one board per calendar day in your own time zone, and it is the same board for everyone that day. It needs a connection to fetch the newest ones; without one, the game plays the days it already has. We may change how the daily puzzle works, or stop offering it.

Changes, and stopping

We may update the game and these terms. If a change matters to you — what is collected, or what you have paid for — we will say so in the game and not only here, and the date at the top of this page will change. You can stop at any time by deleting the game.

What we can and can’t promise

We make this game carefully and we fix what we find. We can’t promise it is free of bugs, that every board suits you, or that the daily puzzle is always reachable. Nothing here takes away the rights you have as a consumer where you live; where those rights and these terms disagree, your rights win.

If something goes wrong

Write to hello@rinkmind.com first. Most things are a bug we can fix or a purchase we can help you restore, and both are quicker than anything formal.

Which law these terms are read under

These terms are governed by the law of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, where Allkanjari Inc. is. That does not take away rights you have where you live: if the consumer law of your own country gives you more than these terms do — and in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom it generally does — that law applies, and you can bring a claim in your own courts.
