RinkMind is a puzzle game. There is no account, we never ask who you are, and your progress lives on your own phone. This page says what the game collects, who receives it, and how to have it deleted. It is written to be read, not to be got through.

RinkMind is published by Allkanjari Inc., in Sudbury, Massachusetts, United States, and “we” on this page means Allkanjari Inc.. Under the European Economic Area’s and the United Kingdom’s data protection law, Allkanjari Inc. is the controller of what the game collects. Write to hello@rinkmind.com about anything on this page; we answer within 30 days.

The short version

What stays on your phone

Your progress, stars, streak, settings and hint balance are saved on your phone. They are included in your own iCloud or Google backup, under your account and that platform’s protection — they never reach us, and we cannot read them. Deleting the game deletes the copy on the phone; the backup is removed in your iOS or Android settings.

The daily reminder, if you turn it on, is a time of day stored on your phone. It schedules a notification there and sends nothing anywhere. The game has no push notifications at all.

What leaves your phone, and to whom

PostHog

Anonymous gameplay events, a random player ID, and your device and app details (model, operating system, language, app version).

What for: Seeing which boards are too hard, and balancing them. Kept: 90 days, or less.

PostHog, before you have chosen

A request for the game’s own remote settings and emergency switches. It carries no player ID — only a throwaway value that lasts until you close the game.

What for: So a broken feature can be switched off for everyone, including players who have shared nothing. Kept: Per PostHog’s policy.

Sentry

Crash reports and performance traces, with your device and app details. On Android, a random installation ID the crash SDK generates for itself.

What for: Finding and fixing crashes. Kept: Up to 90 days.

RevenueCat

What you bought, its transaction ID, the price and store the store reports, under an anonymous ID RevenueCat makes up itself. Never your name or email address.

What for: Knowing what you own, so it works and can be restored on a new phone. Kept: Per RevenueCat’s policy.

Google (AdMob)

Your advertising ID — on iOS only if you allowed tracking when asked — how you interacted with an ad, your approximate location from your IP address, and your device and app details.

What for: Showing ads, capping how often, and measuring them. Kept: Per Google’s policies.

Apple and Google (the stores)

The purchase itself.

What for: Taking the payment. We never see your card. Kept: Per the store’s policy.

Anything the game contacts sees the IP address your connection carries, as every website and app does. PostHog and Sentry are both set not to store it.

Your player ID

The game makes up one random identifier for your installation — a string of letters and digits that means nothing on its own and is tied to nothing about you. It is what separates one player’s anonymous events from another’s, and it is the only name PostHog knows you by, which makes it the only way a deletion request can be acted on. You can read it in Settings → Player ID, and Settings → Contact support fills it into the email for you.

Resetting your progress deliberately does not change it, so a deletion request you sent before a reset still points at the same installation. It is gone when you delete the game.

What you are asked, and when

Why we are allowed to

For players in the EEA and the UK: usage data and personalised ads run on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings. Crash reporting and basic fraud prevention run on our legitimate interest in a game that works and is not abused. Purchases run on the contract you make when you buy something.

Having your data deleted

Children

RinkMind is not made for children and is not marketed to them. We do not knowingly collect anything from a child. If you believe a child has sent us something, email hello@rinkmind.com and it will be deleted.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change to what is collected will be said plainly in the game as well as here, and anything that needs your consent will ask for it again.
